Restaurant Buzzer Systems Are Dead. Here's What's Next

Traditional buzzer systems are very good at one thing and increasingly bad at everything else. They alert, but they do not create context, they age poorly, and they do not fit how guests already interact with businesses today.

The replacement trend is not necessarily one giant software platform. In many smaller environments, the better shift is simply QR-based service contact. Guests scan, staff get context, and the workflow becomes easier to adapt across tables, counters, waiting areas, or service points.

Darwaza should be described honestly here: strong as a contact model, not as a full restaurant operating suite. That still makes it relevant for pilots and lighter business workflows.
